苹果公司涉嫌侵犯专利权或索赔超 5 亿美元
该专利为 VPN on Demand，可使 iOS 用户访问 VPN 连接。
根据彭博社的报道，苹果公司在与互联网安全软件公司 VirnetX 长达十年的诉讼对弈中落败。德克萨斯州陪审团判决苹果公司为侵犯后者的专利权，支付 5.028 亿美元的专利费用。该专利为 VPN on Demand，可使 iOS 用户访问 VPN 连接，在长达十年的拉锯战中，VirnetX 公司始终认定苹果的 VPN on Demand 和 FaceTime 都有使用其技术。据了解，苹果公司已经发表声明，计划对这一决定提出上诉。
