GoPro 公司近日正式宣布，其旗舰产品 HERO8 Black 现已可作为 1080p 高清广角网络摄像头进行使用。用户可以通过最新发布的测试版固件升级手中的 HERO8 Black，同时在电脑桌面安装 GoPro Webcam 驱动程序解锁新功能。目前，此项驱动程序可供苹果 Mac OS 用户下载安装，支持 Windows 系统的版本正在开发中。
GoPro 创始人兼 CEO Nicholas Woodman 稍早表示：「GoPro 正在为在线视频用户带来新奇震撼的广角视觉体验。短时间内升级 GoPro 摄像头固件并成功安装桌面驱动程序之后，用户可以使用 HERO8 Black 作为 1080p 高清网络摄像头，可以让线上会议成员的参与感更加强烈，拓宽远程教育指导的视野范围，以及为更多家庭用户提供更多优质便利的网络视频功能。」同时，HERO8 Black 能比传统的网络摄像头更敏锐地捕捉到人物活动和环境上的变化，正因如此，对于追求高性能摄像头的用户来说，拥有卓越功能的 HERO8 Black 将会是非常适宜的选择。
