华纳宣布《查理和巧克力工厂》的前传电影《旺卡》正式确定将于 2023 年 3 月 17 日在北美上映。
此次的前传电影《旺卡》由大卫·海曼（《哈利·波特》）担任制作人，保罗·金（《帕丁顿熊》）执导，西蒙·里奇（《美国泡菜》）执笔剧本。据外媒消息，华纳有意邀请汤姆·赫兰德或提莫西·查拉梅出演年轻时的威利·旺卡一角，而此次的前传电影也将聚焦于年轻时的威利·旺卡和他在开设世界上最著名的巧克力工厂之前的经历。
《查理和巧克力工厂》改编自罗尔德·达尔所著同名小说，这本小说曾多次被改编成电影，包括 1971 年由吉恩·怀尔德主演版本，以及 2005 年由蒂姆·波顿执导、约翰尼·德普、弗莱迪·海默主演的版本。
据悉，《旺卡》的项目已兜兜转转了好几年。如果一切进展顺利的话，本片将于年内开机，期待电影早日和大家见面。
