Netflix 刚释出了最新一份季度财报，表示他们订阅人数增长稍逊预期的 2,500 万，只得 2,200 万，不过他们认为这是年初因为新冠疫情的爆发性增长后的一点迟滞。同时，这串流平台预期第四期将会增加 600 万新订阅用户，让他们的总订阅数在 2021 年时就能突破 2 亿大关。
财报中没有提到受争议的作品《Cuties》和取消免费试用的影响，不过他们强调「在 2020 年第三季的用户续订数仍然健康增长」。所以如果一切顺利的话，2020 年的整年增长将会打破 2018 年的 2,860 万新用户的记录。
目前，Netflix 确认《怪奇物语 / Stranger Things》等旗舰作品已经开拍，而且 2020 年内上新架的作品都有不错的表现。以新方式计数的官方观看数字显示，《雨伞学园 / Umbrella Academy》在上映首 28 天就有 4,300 万观看次数；《不死军团 / The Old Guard》就有 7,800 万；《超能计划 / Project Power》上架首月也有 7,500 万观众。而且更有预告 2021 年的每个季度都会增加原创作品的数量。
面对愈来愈多的串流平台诞生，Netflix 执行长表示「欢迎竞争」，同时也指电视、游戏、TikTok 和 YouTube 等，其实也是他们的对手。
