DJ Shadow 全新大碟《Our Pathetic Age》发布

今日，实验 Hip-Hop 先锋 DJ Shadow 发布了全新双碟专辑《Our Pathetic Age》。此前，他在 Twitter 上谈论到这张专辑：「虽然专辑名称是带有 Pathetic（可悲）的字眼，但其实这是一张充满希望与活力的专辑。身为一名音乐人，我有义务通过音符去诠释我周遭的世界。无可否认，这个时代充满了烦恼与悲哀。然而，黑暗中总有光明，这就是我试图在这张专辑中填充的能量。」

过去的三年是 DJ Shadow 处于自省的阶段，他深刻意识到当今社会及人性的过度分散问题。「人们沉迷于这种分散，他们变得愤怒和茫然，并对政府机构感到不满」，DJ Shadow 如此解释道。

在全新专辑中，Shadow 抵制了当今的 Hip-Hop 潮流，向黄金年代的 Hip-Hop 音乐寻找灵感，放眼至此张大碟的 featuring 阵容——Nas、Pharaohe Monch、Inspectah Deck、Ghostface Killah、Raekwon、De La Soul、Wiki、Run The Jewels、Pusha T、Dave East——无一不是重量级的人物。但在追溯 old school 的基础上，Shadow 又以自己的标志性实验先锋主义进行了创新探索。
