在如今的艺术界，总有几位所表达的视觉概念，是足以被称为 “领先于时间” 的，空山基就是其中最为鲜明的一例。情欲与机械 —— 这个似乎足以涵盖现代人大部分审美情趣的两个主题在空山基的插画中被体现的淋漓尽致。近日，美国纽约的雅各布·刘易斯博物馆（Jacob Lewis Gallery）就特意设置了空山基的个人展览区域，将他经典的 “性感机器人” （除了平面版本还有两个立体雕塑）与 2016 年的新作一股脑儿的拿出来与各位插画爱好者分享。玛丽莲·梦露、猫王、星战里的 C-3P0 和 R2-D2、“兔女郎” Kate Moss、白雪公主里的皇后等等一一在列，十分具有观赏价值。
