近日 J.K. 罗琳正式在个人官方 Twitter 账号上宣布，《哈利·波特与被诅咒的孩子 (Harry Potter & The Cursed Child) 》明年将在伦敦西区舞台上演。 J.K. 罗琳表示：“这一部讲的是小说里没有讲的故事，但并不是它的前传。” 而这一消息选择在 2015 年 10 月 23 日宣布，是因为这天刚好是《哈利·波特与魔法石》出版的第 18 年，有着特殊的纪念意义。
故事背景发生在《哈利·波特与死亡圣器 (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows)》结局之后的 19 年，哈利·波特与珍妮·韦斯莱的三个孩子入学霍格沃兹魔法学校，此外 J.K. 罗琳还将与编剧 Jack Thorne 与导演 John Tiffany 共同合作，而这一消息发布之后，斯内普教授也在转发了这条 Twitter 并回复 “ Will I return as a ghost?”。据悉这部舞台剧将分成两部曲，并于 2016 年 6 月 7 日在 London’s Palace Theatre 首映，哈迷们不妨密切留意。
