北京时间 8 月 18 日晚，由任天堂举办的宝可梦游戏直面会正式揭幕。此次游戏直面会主要向玩家介绍了接下来一段时间内的《宝可梦》系列游戏作品的情报与发行计划，其中包括了《宝可梦大集结》、《欢迎光临！宝可梦咖啡店~拌拌缤纷趣》、《宝可梦晶灿钻石/明亮珍珠》、《宝可梦传说：阿尔宙斯》等多款游戏。
《宝可梦大集结》将于 9 月 22 日登陆手机平台，并支持 Nintendo Switch 和手机跨平台联机，以及更新了 2 只新宝可梦角色；《欢迎光临！宝可梦咖啡店~拌拌缤纷趣》定位为一款生活休闲类游戏，将于 2021 年秋季发售；《宝可梦晶灿钻石/明亮珍珠》将在原有基础上添加新玩法，包括主角换装功能、宝可梦超计划里大赛、新宝可梦秘巢等，值得一提的是，这款游戏的限定版本 Switch Lite 将于 11 月 5 日正式发售；《宝可梦传说：阿尔宙斯》则正式公开全新中文宣传片，将于 2022 年 1 月 28 日登陆 Nintendo Switch 平台。
