如果你喜欢 Google TV 以推荐观看为主的界面，但又不想买个 Chromecast 的话，现在 Android TV 的界面也引入了部份的机能了。在 Android TV 界面的最上方 Google 增添了一个「发现（Discovery）」的标签页，提供类似于 Google TV 的电影、电视剧等节目推荐，且不限于特定来源。至于对这功能没兴趣的用户，原本的 Home 标签页依然将维持原貌，同时对于 app 安装较多的使用者，Google 也再多增加了一个「app」标签页方便你启动特定服务或前往 Play Store。
这些新标签页将率先于美国、澳大利亚、加拿大、德国和法国推出，其他国家则是在「未来数周内」到来。虽然不是直接变成和 Google TV 一致，但这种以额外的标签页引入功能的方式，更能照顾到偏好旧界面和希望引入新界面两种使用者的需求吧。
