日本华纳与西武铁道株式会社、伊藤忠商株式会社以及芙蓉综合 LEASE 株式会社四家企业联合发表公告，宣布将在日本建立名为「华纳兄弟片场游-东京-Making Of Harry Potter」的主题游乐设施。该游乐设施将建立在日本老牌游乐园「丰岛园」的原址之上，将以伦敦开设的「Making Of Harry Potter」为原型进行建造。在伦敦的该项目中，包含了电影版《哈利波特》拍摄过程中所使用的衣服以及小道具等，还还原了部分著名场景供来场游客浏览。自 2012 年开园以来，该设施已经接待了 1,400 万名游客，获得了极高的人气以及粉丝的好评。
而本次的东京版本也将同样以电影版《哈利波特》为基础，在占地三万平米的设施内为电影爱好者们还原电影中的重要场景、道具、服饰以及拍摄过程。在该设施的入口部分，也将预计建造一个含有电影中魔法动物造型的公园，供居民以及游客畅游于其中。
作为建造原址的丰岛园，也将于本月底（8 月 31 日）正式闭园，结束其 94 年的历史。而这个以哈利波特的新主题乐园，预计将于 2023 年上半年正式开业。
