旧金山创新环保时尚品牌 Allbirds 联合创始人及 CEO Joey Zwillinger 在本周接受 CNN 采访时，宣称亚马逊发布了一款自有品牌的鞋，它的外观与 Allbirds 标志性的「Wool Runner」羊毛休闲鞋几乎相同。 对于 Zwillinger 来说，这双外形相似但售价便宜 50 美元的「山寨鞋」不仅仅是在侵犯品牌的原创设计，并且还无视了其为可持续发展付出的努力。
Allbirds 是一家经由美国 B-Corp（Benefit Corporation 共益企业）官方认证的共益企业，这意味着它在生产过程的所有方面都符合社会和环境绩效、问责制和透明度的严格标准，且其以使用可再生材料制作鞋而著称。其中 Wool Runner 采用新西兰美利奴羊毛材质鞋面和由甘蔗提取物制成的 SweetFoam 而不是传统塑料制成的泡沫鞋底，这使得鞋履更加舒适，同时更有益于环境。
凭借着优秀品质和环保的理念，Allbirds 迅速获得市场，而在 Zwillinger 看来，亚马逊正在模仿 Allbirds 的设计，并且以价格更为低廉的仿制品来迷惑消费者。除此之外，困扰 Allbirds 的不只是外观相似，而是认为亚马逊的「山寨鞋」并未遵循品牌对于追求环保和可持续的理念，也没有使用甘蔗鞋底，这可能会导致顾客购买了对地球有害的产品。
