街头艺术家 Sheep CHEN 参加 2019 POW! WOW! 关岛站

作为唯一受邀的中国艺术家。

POW! WOW! 自 2010 年成立以来，由夏威夷 Kaka’ako 地区的音乐与艺术活动，发展成为集合街头艺术家壁画创作、艺术机构和画廊展览、音乐演出等的全球性街头文化艺术节，举办之地也在全球不断扩张。

来自中国嘉兴的街头艺术家陈暘（Sheep CHEN）在不久前受邀参加了在美国关岛举办的 POW! WOW!，并完成新作品《八仙过海》，荣登关岛日报的头版。本次在关岛的壁画作品依旧是 Sheep CHEN 在对“正念”的坚持下，结合中国传统文化与当代潮流元素而进行创作。其作品灵感来源于中国的古老传说《八仙过海》，并选择用国际熟知的现代潮流文化人物形象巧妙替代传统八仙，抛砖引玉，启发国际对中国传统文化的兴趣；同时，Sheep 也希望借用八仙过海来暗喻自己也是从嘉兴“漂洋过海”来到这座热情美丽的岛屿并送去祝福，祈求一方福气。
