HBO 经典剧集《欲望都市》的电影版已在早前确认了不再会有第三部的消息。不过好消息是《欲望都市》还将会有续集再拍。据悉，派拉蒙电视与 Anonymous Content 已拿下了《欲望都市》原作者 Candace Bushnell 将在 8 月出版的新书《Is There Still Sex In The City? 》的改编权，Bushnell 还将担任剧集执行制作人。该故事将聚焦于纽约城市 50 岁的女性，围绕她们的性、爱情、友谊而展开。除了纽约城的背景，这次还会将故事背景设定在曼哈顿上东区与一个被称为 “The Village” 的村庄。
Bushnell 表示：“大家通常认为退休年龄的人们除了变老变胖就不会做别的事了，但其实他们也可能会健身，会开启新的事业，搬到另一个城市，或者重新开始生活。这就是我想在书中以及接下来的剧集中所描绘的现实。”
目前，新剧还会不会有原班人马重新出演尚未确定，但相信对于《欲望都市》的铁粉们来说已经足够期待了吧。
